As a massage therapist, I care about your safety. I have received my second COVID vaccine shot on 3/27. Learn more about what COVID-policies I have in place here.
Please review my full Covid Policy and continue to take good care of yourselves, and help me to keep everyone as safe as possible. Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to seeing you.
As a massage therapist, my deepest commitment is to work consciously and intuitively with clients to promote health and well-being.
I tailor my massage work to each individual’s needs often working out sore, tired hands and forearms, tight shoulders and necks, jaws, and facial muscles.
Certified in Myo Fascial Release and Neuromuscular Therapy, these serve as a foundational guide to my deep and specific massage work. I help to facilitate relief from pain and tension, and work with clients to encourage healing from trauma and injury. Clients have experienced healing from both physical and emotional injuries through our work together. Read more about Ginger.
Beginning in January 2021 I will be sharing space with friend and Feldenkrais® practitioner, Dale Jensen. My office will be in the Harmony in Motion Studio on Pauline just West of Stadium in Ann Arbor.
In keeping with my collaborative philosophy, I am thrilled that it will be easier for my clients to benefit from Dale’s work. I am a firm believer in helping my clients prevent future strain and injury. Feldenkrais is a fantastic way to retrain muscles for just that. I am looking forward to our collaboration and the benefits it brings our clients.
After decades of managing a clinic, the partners at Head to Toe Therapies have decided to transition to solely teaching classes and remote practices. I am grateful to have worked alongside them for the past 2 years.
“If you’re looking to take a nap on a table while someone puts lotion on you: go elsewhere. If you’re ready to experience intense relief: you’ve found the right person!” —Diane Boius
“Indeed, the body does keep score. Some things get stuck in both mind and body. Memories. Sensations. Trauma. Tension. Ginger has an intuitive ability to locate old pain and works to bring release. Whether through deep work or light pressure, Ginger works with you to seek and encourage your healing.” —Kathleen M.
COVID Policy
With the increase in cases of the Omicron COVID variant, my policies are tightening. I require all clients to wear a mask from the moment they are in the studio until they leave, preferably an N95, KN95 or similar mask, or double masks. Any valve mask must be covered by another mask to mitigate exposure.
I am now requiring that all my clients are fully vaccinated and boosted (show pictures of vaccines or bring cards) or can show recent proof of a negative COVID test (rapid test morning of or PCR test within the past 3 days).
I’m asking all my clients to cancel and reschedule their appointments if they or their partner, housemate, or close companion have any illness symptoms, known COVID exposure, or positive COVID test results in the past 7 days.
My responsibility to you, my client, is important to me. I am keeping my clients safe by being fully vaccinated and boosted, being double-masked when seeing clients, screening clients, practicing COVID safety in my personal life, getting tested if concerned about exposure risks, sanitizing the massage room surfaces, changing my top between clients, having air purifiers running throughout the massage and updating my policies as conditions change.
I have been waiting to see how this latest variant has been spreading and realized that now is the time to make the policy update.
Other Policies:
As a professional courtesy, I ask that if clients need to cancel or reschedule an appointment for non-COVID or health-related circumstances that they please do so with as much notice as possible - preferably at least 24 hours in advance. I reserve the right to charge clients up to the cost of their missed appointment who cancel with short notice (within 24 hours) or fail to show up at my discretion.
